I had to find a new manga to read after i reached upto date with the 5 that i follow; Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Fairytail and Toriko. There were some on the top list that seemed interesting but it took me a while to zoom into Bakuman. The premise looked kinda simple and lame but i decided to give it a try. The Story primarily starts of as the two protagonists, Akito Takagi as the writer and Moritaka Mashiro as the illustrator, decide to start writing a manga and become mangakas. This series gives us an insight into the Manga industry, that is why my interest in it has stayed so far. It is written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, the makers of Deathnote. This slice of life manga stands out among the Shonen manga in WSJ. The art is good and even the humour makes you LOL at times. The Chapters are dialogue heavy like Deathnote was and hence you spend more time reading one chapter than something like Bleach or Toriko.
So i would recommend this for readers who want to read a lighter series for a change and also to those people who want to know how a manga gets written.
